Baron Samedi Pedal
Baron Samedi Pedal
Baron Samedi Pedal

The AFA Baron Samedi Fuzz pays homage to the legendary Jordan Bosstone, but sounds nothing like one. Additional gain and a very strange tone control add aggression, fullness and bite to the sound. The interactivity of the top three knobs make this a raucous device that yields an entire variety of sounds, from a great vintage fuzz tone to synthier sounds with faux-portamento decay.
Guaranteed to summon harmonics from other worlds, the AFA Baron Samedi encapsulates the vulgarity, the madness and sheer joy of the electric guitar. Whether you’re playing mellower brass sounds on a jazz solo from hell, gated faux-bass single-note riffs or all-out scooped mid riffs, this pedal will take every note to the afterlife and back.
Did we just say guitar? For those unafraid to experiment and stand out, the Baron is a devastating effect, live or in the studio, to use on drum machines, synthesisers and bass guitar too.
Hand-built with pride in Bombay, India.

Godeater Pedal
Godeater Pedal
Godeater Pedal

Although the Godeater was designed for bass guitar, it might just be the most versatile Animal Factory pedal yet.
With extreme compression and saturation in the low end, this is a very unique circuit that is not a clone of any existing pedal.
The idea behind the Godeater was to be able to run the pedal 100% distorted and have a full, strong bass response without having to dial the clean signal back in.
The Godeater distinguishes between global gain and saturation with two stages of gain control.
The very musical EQ can thin out the sound or go deep into the subs.
From adding a subtle grunt, blending clean and dirty sounds to full doomy chords, this pedal does it all and more.
The extended bass response makes it an ideal choice for downtuned or baritone guitar, but also bass synths and drum machines.

A-198 Trautonium Manual / Ribbon Controller
A-198 Trautonium Manual / Ribbon Controller

Module A-198 is a Trautonium Manual resp. Ribbon Controller. The controlling element of the A-198 is a linear position sensor (length about 50 cm) hat has available a pressure sensor too.

Touching the sensor with a finger generates a control voltage CV1 that is proportional to the position of the finger.

The scale (i.e. the relation between position difference and voltage difference) is adjustable with a potentiometer at the front panel.

A hold switch is used to determine if the CV voltage is held after removing the finger (hold = on) or if the CV voltage jumps to 0V (hold = off).

In the last case (hold = off) a gate signal is derived from the CV voltage whenever a finger touches the sensor (e.g. for triggering an envelope generator).

A sensitive pressure sensor located below the position sensor generates a second control voltage CV2 that increases with higher pressure of the finger.

Even for CV2 the scale is adjustable.

A second gate signal is triggered as soon as the pressure exceeds a certain value. The gate threshold is adjustable at the front panel.

The sensors are located in a separate metal frame (length about 600 mm, width about 30 mm, height about 18 mm, weight: about 900 g, color: silver-grey).

The connection between the module and the sensor frame is made by a 4 pin cable (same as used for USB connections).

Typical applications:

– Trautonium manual, the string is replaced by the position sensor that is much easier to use and cheaper than the string. In combination with the Subharmonic Oscillator A-113, the Trautonium Filter A-104 and some auxiliary modules a complete Trautonium replica may be realized. In combination with the Quantizer A-156 exact semitone intervals are possible.

– Ribbon Controller for any A-100 parameter (e.g. pitch, filter frequency, loudness, panorama, speed, modulation depth and so on)

Pedal Strakal Brulu
Pedal Strakal Brulu
Pedal Strakal Brulu

TouellSkouarn Strakal Brulu is a fuzz pedal with CV-input. The great sound is due to the new-old-stock east-german germanium transistors.

Very characteristic for the pedal’s sound is that the fuzz amount is coupled to the feedback. The more fuzz, the more feedback – the Strakal Brulu can get pretty nasty and it screams a lot at high fuzz settings and low input level. The fuzz amount can be voltage controlled, with an inverse attenuator. Input and output levels can be set separately and especially the input level affects the Strakal Brulu´s behavior a lot.

Dude
Dude

Dude is a portable battery operated 5 channel audio mixer with mini jack inputs and output. Each channel has a dedicated mute button and up to +20dB gain to boost weak signals and saturate line level signals. It is a monophonic mixer but can drive your headphones and therefore its perfect for small portable rigs or submixes on stage. It runs on four AA batteries (or external power supply) and it is almost as small as its battery pack. Because each channel has enough gain it can be turned into a tone generator by feeding the output back to an input thru a passive eq and other simple circuits.

Metallic Resonator 60cm

The Metallik Resonator Speaker is inspired from the Resonateurs Métalliques series created by Martenot. The AUDIO IN accepts any LINE signal. The sound is amplified through the tam, which behaves like a loud speaker, giving the sound a new dimension.
The size of the tam has an impact on the amplification. Smaller tams will give less low frequencies therefore the bigger the tam is, the more low frequencies are generated and give a deeper sound.
Metallik Resonator speakers are made on demand. They are delivered in a wooden case covered with a sturdy handle.
Please note, these speakers are built on demand, and may take up to a month to complete.

Ribbon 2 mono synth
Ribbon 2 mono synth

The Ribbon 2 is a tactile instrument which is sensitive to position and pressure. It is interchangeably a 12 -bit synth, a USB controller and CV/Gate controller, it can be used in many different ways – as a solo instrument, to control virtual instruments and iOS or to control analog/modular systems and other CV/gate devices. The Ribbon comes with a software editor, which allows you to choose from 9 oscillator sources, LFO and FM modulation and delay and downsampling effects. 16 Presets can be stored and recalled on the fly using the two buttons on the Ribbon
A quick overview…
The Ribbon is powered over a USB port, either by your computer or a wall wart
In synthesizer mode, it sends mono audio from the 3.5mm output
In CV/Gate mode, which can be stored as a preset using the editor, the 3.5mm output is set to send pitch on the tip and gate on the ring. Using a split stereo cable you can patch these into your analog synthesizer or modular synthesizer

Kastle

Kastle

Kastle is a mini modular synthesizer with headphone output, 2 in/out ports for interfacing other gear and it runs on just 3 AA batteries. It is DIY friendly and ideal for beginners in modular synthesis, but it will add quite some unique functionality to any modular synthesizer systems. It delivers the fun of modular synthesis at cost and fits into your pocket so you can play it everywhere!

It has unique digital lo-fi sound and it can be melodic as well as very noisy and drony, soft or harsh. It is designed to be fun on its own but it is most powerful when combined with other modular gear.

Kastle is an open source DIY project which runs on two Attiny 85 chips that can be reprogrammed with an Arduino (google: “programming Attiny 85 with Arduino”). One chip is dedicated to sound generation while the other handles modulation. Several firmwares for the Attiny chips are available.

The Synth version combines complex oscillator and LFO with stepped waveform generator.

The oscillator section has 3 sound parameters pitch, timbre and waveshape – all under voltage control and with 3 different synthesis modes. It has a main output and a square wave output. Both can be used independently or combined. The 3 synthesis modes are phase distortion, phase modulation (also known as FM) and track & hold modulation. Each mode utilizes two oscillators. The Pitch controls the main oscillator, the Timbre sets the pitch of the modulating oscillator and the waveshape depends on the synthesis mode. The waveshape also controls the pulse width of the square wave output from the main oscillator.
The voltage controllable LFO has a triangle and square output and a reset input. The stepped waveform generator is inspired by the Rungler circuit by Rob Hordijk. It can produce 8 different voltages either in random order or in 8 or 16 step looping patterns depending on how the BIT IN is patched.

Klik

Klik

Klik is a synchronisation device that enables you to make analog, rock solid sync signals  from your computer and your HW synths. The KLIK revives the old-school sync technique of using an audio track for synchronisation purposes. Record your synths exactly on the grid into your DAW while compensating for the latency of your sound card. Jam really tight between your computer and your HW and add groove to your clock.

The KLIK converts audio line level (or headphone) output signals from any sound card and makes perfect synchronisation pulses in the modular level.

KLIK converts two signals (left and right input) – typically clock and reset signal. The reset signal also has a button which you can use to re-sync your HW or use for sending manual gate signals. You can send rhythmical triggers thru the KLIK as well.

With KLIK you can use any channel of your soundcard or repurpose the unused headphone jack on your macbook by creating aggregate device. Or use an old mp3 player as a stable clock source with presets!

And as a bonus if you run any audio signal thru the KLIK to apply a harsh bitcrushing effect!

Please note it is designed to only transmit clock / trigger / gate information. Its output is either low or high 0 or 5V. It doesn’t output continuous CV signals.
