Heklev is an analog echo and reverb module, which can also be used to create chorus and flanger effects. It is based on MN3007 bucket brigade devices. Besides the actual effect block, there is a built-in VCA. The Heklev’s beefy sound character is remindful of renowned vintage effect units.

The Heklev comes equipped with three potentiometers to adjust delay time and feedback of the BBD circuit as well as the mixture of dry and processed signals. A CV input allows the user to modulate the echo’s rate. The results are sent to the VCA, which can also be influenced by control voltages. Heklev offers three outputs. They emit dry and mix signals of the effect block as well as material coming from the VCA.

On the circuit board of the Heklev, there are five trim potentiometers. These control elements make it possible to adjust input and output volumes, the BBD bias, noise canceling as well as the range of the echo time knob.

Hirlostek cable
Hirlostek cable

This cable expands every synth without a noise generator but an external audio input and a 5V source at the tip of a socket (e.g. an expression pedal input) and gives you digital noise.

Initially the cable has been developed as an expansio fot the Moog products Little Phatty and Minitaur but it works also with other synths etc.
The Hirlostek needs to be provided with a 5V voltage, for instance at the tip of a expression pedal socket. A circuit inside of the bigger plug generates a bright digital noise you can use as audio or modulation source. The narrower plug carries the noise signal and is to be connected either with an audio input or a CV input.

Hand made, military quality due to good Neutrik jacks.

Kala Goanv
Kala Goanv

  • Type/ Effect
  • Width/ 8HP

The TouellSkouarn Kala Goanv is an inductor based filter. According to this unique design the sound is extraordinary and somewhere in between a phaser-ish band pass, distortion and a gnarly wahwah with a vintage character.

Even if the module is pretty simple it has LOTS of character. We find an input and one output level control and also a big cutoff controller. The small grey knob controls resonance. A cutoff CV input with attenuator is there as well but that's about CV control. Frequency behaviour is very dependent on the other parameters' settings.

This boutique module is hand-wired, has a beautful laser-etched perspex faceplate and the big cutoff knob is vintage.

As the module is inductor based it can easily pick up hum and electric fields so keep it away from the power supply transformer.

Pedal Strakal Brulu
Pedal Strakal Brulu
Pedal Strakal Brulu

TouellSkouarn Strakal Brulu is a fuzz pedal with CV-input. The great sound is due to the new-old-stock east-german germanium transistors.

Very characteristic for the pedal’s sound is that the fuzz amount is coupled to the feedback. The more fuzz, the more feedback – the Strakal Brulu can get pretty nasty and it screams a lot at high fuzz settings and low input level. The fuzz amount can be voltage controlled, with an inverse attenuator. Input and output levels can be set separately and especially the input level affects the Strakal Brulu´s behavior a lot.

Skorn da Bask

  • Type/ Generator
  • Width/ 16HP
  • Power/ +25mA/-10mA
  • Depth/ -mm

The TouellSkouarn Skorn da Bask is a dronegenerator, filter and abstract rhythm generator.

Three sawtooth VCOs/LFOs can be used as tongenerators and modulationsource for the cutoff frequency of a resonating low pass filter.

Processing external audiosignals is possible, these can also be modulated with the three VCOs at the same time.

While the three oscillators cannot be controlled with 1V/oct, there is still CV input which makes is possible to evolving textures and rhythms.
Via the left switch the oscillators can be routed to modulate the filter, the right switch selects a frequency range (Hi/Lo), the potentiometer sets the frequency/”tuning”.

The filter of the TouellSkouarn Skorn da Bask is a very nice dirty sounding 24dB low pass filter with resoncance that can also be used without the three osciallators via the external input.

The Skorn da Bask is great for creating chaos and random textures, slowly changing drones and abstract rhythms.

  • Type/ Mixer
  • Width/ 16HP

  • Depth/ -mm

The TouellSkouarn Sonveskan is a three-channel mixer, which features a dual gain stage, voltage controlled feedback, mute and a direct outputs per channel.

The Sonevskan uses geramnium transistors for the amplification, fans of distortion and feedback will be very pleased with this module.

Each channel has a signal input with a level control which for sure adds some germanuim transistor distortion. De facto the signal passes not one but two gain stages. The gain fo the second one can be adjusted to your desires by a trimmer on the circuit board. The pre-amplified signal is available at an unbuffered direct output.

Below the gain control there’s a control which determines the amount of feedback, or if a feedback CV is used it acts as a modulation amount controller. The feedback can be swithced off immediately with a swithc and another switch mutes the channel.
Because of the direct outputs you can use each channel as an individual distortion/preamp.

The three channels are mixed and then are processed by an EQ featuring potentiometers for low and high frequencies. The processed signal is available at the mix output.
